Thrifty Hipster and its participating merchants do not obtain any information about you other than what you provide voluntarily. You are under no obligation whatsoever to provide extra personal information in order to continue to receive your periodic promotion and special event offers. If you do provide further personal interest information about yourself, you will enable us to highly personalize the communications from us on behalf of the Thrifty Hipster sponsors and tailor it to your own interests, needs and geographic area… WE’LL GIVE YOU FREE STUFF YOU WANT!
HOW CAN YOU STOP RECEIVING EMAIL FROM US?
We respect your time and attention by controlling the frequency of our mailings. You have every right to stop receiving email anytime you choose and to only receive relevant and wanted email. We collect and use your email address in order to send you the newsletters and special promotions you have requested. We will never share your email with any other vendor, website, or promotional entity without your express permission. You can unsubscribe at any time for any reason.
Every email contains an easy, automated way for you to cease receiving email from us, or to change your preferences to receive less information or more. If you wish to do this, simply follow the instructions at the end of any email.

HOW DO WE USE INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM THRIFTY HIPSTER MEMBERS?
We will never sell or give away individual personal information to anyone without your advance permission or unless ordered by a court of law or as requested by government or law enforcement agencies. We will also cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our services to further illegal activity. Otherwise the information submitted to us is only available to employees managing this information for purposes of sending you emails based on your request for information and to contracted service providers for purposes of providing services relating to our communications with you.
When you join Thrifty Hipster merchant email lists, your preferences and other general information you have voluntarily provided to us may or may not be shared with the sponsor and added to the member information for their email list. If you join one or more Thrifty Hipster merchant email lists, your information may also be owned separately by the merchants whose email lists you joined. Occasionally, these merchants may choose to use the information you provided to send you information or promotions outside of Thrifty Hipster’s email publications. Thrifty Hipster asks participating merchants to adhere to these privacy guidelines, as documented in this Privacy Policy, however Thrifty Hipster assumes no responsibility for communications sent directly from merchants or from third parties which the merchant may have engaged. Thrifty Hipster will never give, trade, sell or rent any personally identifiable information without your prior consent but we do not have direct control of the actions taken by any merchant which with you may have shared your personal information.
WHO HAS ACCESS TO THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY MEMBERS?
We do not sell or give your personal information to others or share it with others, other than the merchants sponsoring the email lists you join, and service vendors who sometimes assist us and who are also subject to a confidentiality agreement, as described in this Policy Statement. If the ownership of a merchant sponsoring an email list changes due to the sale of some or all of the assets of the merchant or the controlling stock or other ownership interest, the new owner may have the same rights of access and ownership of your personal information as the previous owner. Similarly, if a purchaser acquires some or all of our assets or stock, the purchaser will succeed to our rights with respect to your personal information. One or more of our service providers could also be acquired, and we reserve the right to use different service providers. We will not otherwise sell or give your personal information to third parties unless we first notify you and receive your permission first.
We may provide aggregate statistics about the members of the sponsoring merchants’ email lists, traffic patterns, read rates, redemption rates, and related site information to advertisers and for other marketing and promotional purposes or to third party vendors. In these situations, we would not disclose any information that could be used to personally identify you. We do not supplement information we collect from members with information from third parties to make member information personally identifiable.
We may, on occasion, automatically track certain information, including banners or other hyper-links clicked on and whether members read the email messages from their email lists. This information is provided to the respective merchant sponsoring the email list and may include personally identifiable information.
WHAT ABOUT LINKS TO OTHER SITES AND ADS?
Emails you receive from us may contain advertisements and links to other web sites (“Third Party Materials”). We are not responsible for the privacy policies or content of these Third Party Materials. This Privacy Policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you in connection with Thrifty Hipster. The privacy policy posted on our other web sites differs from this Privacy Policy. Merchants who sponsor an email list we support may maintain their own web site and publish their own privacy policy.
